Recruiting Participants for a Long COVID Study!
Study: Non-invasive Brain Stimulation in Patients with Long COVID
The Medical University of Vienna is investigating whether Transcranial Pulse Stimulation (TPS) can improve symptoms associated with Long COVID. During TPS treatment, ultrasound pulses are used to stimulate cells in the brain.
Eligibility
• COVID-19 infection causing Long COVID at least 12 months ago
• Between 20 and 80 years of age
• Good German language skills (required for the neuropsychological assessments)
• No metal implants or other contraindications to MRI
• No other medical condition that could account for the symptoms
• Not pregnant or breastfeeding
Study Procedures
• A total of 12–13 visits over a period of 8–9 weeks
• TPS treatments
• Functional MRI (fMRI) examinations
• Neuropsychological assessments
