Deep brain stimulation is a therapy in which electric impulses are delivered via implanted stimulation electrodes in the brain and thereby the symptoms of movement disorders such as tremor, Parkinson's disease or dystonia can be alleviated. The treatment is carried out together with colleagues from the Neurosurgery Clinic. Treatment requires careful preparation and follow-up care for the patient, including cessation of stimulation and adjustment of medication. Our outpatient clinic for movement disorders has many years of experience, competence and technical requirements for treating patients with all approved stimulation systems.
